After a fantastic start in 2016, the 2nd Annual “Trenton Park Touch-a-Truck” is back!

Those in attendance will once again get to explore giant trucks, emergency vehicles, tractors and other interesting mobile machines.

This is a FREE community event for families and kids of all ages to enjoy! There will be a donation bucket set up on-site for anyone wishing to donate to the Friends of Trenton Park Society. 

Ear plugs will be available on-site for those with noise sensitivities.

Family Campout at Trenton Park!
July 12-16, 2017
Only 32 sites available!
Cost: $100 (+tax) for 5 nights
(Full weekend sites only, no individual night bookings)

- Occupancy Max: 6 campers (4 adults max)
- You must be 19+ to book a campsite.
- To limit the possibility of underage drinking, teenage campers under the age of 19 years MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian (age 30+).

- No water, power or sewer on individual campsites
- Port-a-Johns & hand wash stations throughout campout
- No private showers available.
- Community campfire on site

To book a campsite, please contact the Trenton Parks & Recreation office at 902-752-1019.

When making a reservation, you will be asked for:
- Your name & contact information (address, postal code, phone number & email)
- Arrival/departure dates
- Size and type of camping equipment
(max 2 on site: 1 trailer + 1 tent or 2 tents)
- Names & ages of all campers in your party

Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm

Spring has sprung! It’s that time of year again when residents can put extra garbage at the curb.
Spring Cleanup in the Town of Trenton will take place on (May 2019 Date TBA)

* Clear bag rules apply to all bagged garbage (only one black bag).*


  • Maximum of 20 items per household.All bagged garbage must be in clear bags.An “item” means an object, bag or container.
  • One Item = 1 object, 1 clear bag, 1 bundle or 1 container. (Cardboard boxes will NOT be accepted, they must be recycled.)
  • 5 loose objects = 5 items or 5 objects in a clear bag = 1 item
  • A bundle must be securely tied and not exceed 4 ft. in length.
  • Microwaves ARE accepted during this clean-up.

The following items will NOT be collected during spring clean-up:

  • Leaves (see below for leaf collection details)
  • Appliances
  • Bicycles
  • Barbecues
  • Car parts
  • Other metal items
  • Mattresses
  • Box springs
  • Large furniture
  • Any item weighting over 75 lbs
  • Electronics: Televisions, computers & monitors, printers, audio & visual playback, recording systems, & telephones. These items must be dropped off at the following locations:

- Bill Stewart Metal, Bottle & Enviro Depot - Westville Road, New Glasgow
- John’s Bottle & Recycling Depot - 28 Depot Street, Pictou


SPRING leaf collection in the Town of Trenton will take place (June 2019 Date TBA)

FALL leaf collection in the Town of Trenton will take place on Friday, November 23, 2018.

  • Leaves Must be in Clear, Orange or Paper Bags – Unlimited Number of Bags of Leaves Accepted
  • Leaves Should be Set Out, Separated from Garbage Bags
  • Leaves Can be Put in the Green Cart on a Regular Basis – Leaves Can be Put in a Backyard Composter

NO Leaves Permitted in Black Bags
