Volunteer Recognition 2013

Communities across Canada celebrate National Volunteer Week every year!

National Volunteer Week 2017 will take place the week of April 23 to April 29, 2017.

The Town of Trenton holds an annual Volunteer Recognition Reception to honor the many community groups and their volunteers who serve the residents of Trenton, and to provide an opportunity for community and sport organizations to recognize their outstanding volunteers. The 2017 reception will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017.

In addition to the local organizations and community groups, the nomination process is also open to the general public. This open call for nominations is County wide; however, the nominee must be a volunteer who is serving/impacting Trenton in some way.

Once the nominations are received, a selection committee will choose the 2017 Florence Gouthro Memorial Volunteer of the Year Recipient. This volunteer will attend the 43rd Annual Provincial Volunteer Awards Ceremony being held in Halifax on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. All volunteers must be nominated separately to be considered for this award.

Thank you for your interest, the 2017 Nomination Process is now CLOSED!
