Re: Trenton Parks & Recreation Dept. to manage Trenton Minor Sports Community Centre
We announced last week that Darryl Marcott was appointed the new Superintendent of the Public Works Department. As he was previously the Rink Manager, his change of positions left a major hole to fill at the Trenton Minor Sports Community Centre.
Town Council was quickly able to determine the appropriate course of action to fill this role. We are pleased to announce Trenton Parks and Recreation will take control of the Trenton Minor Sports Community Centre, effective immediately, with Director Craig Murray assuming the increased responsibility of Rink Manager. Craig joined the Town in February 2020, and with his expertise and knowledge of recreation we are sure he will take on the extra challenges with ease.
Craig and his staff have already relocated to the rink office (75 Park Road) as revitalization construction began at the Trenton Park office (119 Park Road) last week and is expected to continue through late fall. During the winter months, the Parks & Recreation staff will continue working at the rink office with plans in place to relocate back next spring coinciding with the exciting reopening of Trenton Park!
We wish Craig all the best in his new role at the Trenton Minor Sports Community Centre and look forward to this new direction for the Trenton Parks & Recreation Department!
